We are hoping to enter our app ‘Odus Savings’ into the Finance category at the Teen Tech Awards 2016.
Our idea is a financial app developed with the aim of helping preteens to young adults to save their money. This will help them to organise their banking and cash before they reach university or during university.
We are thinking that we would like our app to do the following things:
- Give information on how to open a bank account
- Give examples of which bank offer children’s/teens’ accounts and what each account offers
- Allow you to input goals – knows hows much each thing costs and tells you what you can afford
- After next payment in give a notification ‘you can afford this’
- Help to plan for Uni – guidelines of banking and savings and living cost from a young age
- Have the capability to input multiple goals to work towards
- Automatically calculate how much you earn per week/month for jobs
We hope that these features will be useful for children, teens, young adults and (the children’s) parents, in teaching about how to manage money and budget successfully.
